We stopped here to see the spectacular Moeraki Boulders and stayed after for some coffee and some of their "Famous Moeraki Boulders Seafood Chowder."
You ordered from the counter and it was delivered to your table.
The place was clean and well run, the service friendly, and the seafood chowder was delicious.
$14 (New Zealand) seemed a bit high for a small bowl, but the bowl I got was quite large and, along with taste and the beach views, made it well worth the price.
If it had been closer to a meal time, I would have stayed and ordered more.
